Madam Jean Mensa, the chair of the EC, praised the IGP and the police leadership for their proactive approach to the impending elections. She expressed confidence that the way the police leadership is handling the election will contribute to increased trust between all parties involved.
The IGP has received acclaim from the Center for Democratic Development for how he has handled by-elections across the nation since taking office.
Unlike in Chereponi, Asankrakwa, and other places, the IGP successfully organized the Election Security Task Force and conducted all of our by-elections. There haven’t been any significant problems surrounding any of the by-elections held here in the recent past. Therefore, I believe that the Election Security Task Force’s efforts will see us through the major elections.
