Nana Addo has failed; private sector as weak as carbonic acid – ODIKE

Founder and leader of United Progressive Party has chastised the NPP government for what he says is its failure to support businesses.

Akwasi Addai, also known as Odike, says all sectors of the Ghanaian economy are struggling, with little or no effort by the government to deal with the challenges.

He fears the up-coming Christmas will be the worst in recent times for Ghanaians.

The businessman and politician spoke on Nhyira FM in Kumasi.

“The private sector is as weak as weak as carbonic acid and if this continues into to next year I won’t be surprised if NPP returns into opposition’, he predicted.

Mr Addai accused President Akufo-Addo and his government of cronyism instead of working to satisfy the masses who voted them into power.

He encouraged Ghanaians, especially, women and the youth, to use their numbers to demand accountability from the people they vote for to lead the country.

Deputy General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Obiri Boahen, however, said it was too early for Ghanaians to complain about unfulfilled promises.

He acknowledged the concerns are legitimate but said Ghanaians can express such concerns after the President and his government have completed their four-year mandate.
