Nana Addo appoints NPP's Sir John as head of Ports & Harbour Authority

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John as Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.

The New Patriotic Party stalwart will take over from Mr Richard Anamoo, the erstwhile Director-General, who was relieved of post by the president.
While a communication to Mr Anamoo relieving him did not assign reasons, many believed recent allegations of corruption made some workers of the port authority could have played a role.
