KWANWOMA CHIEF DONATE COMPUTERS TO TWO SCHOOLS

 

Renowned Chief for Kwanwoma, a community located within Atwima Kwanwoma District of Ashanti Region, Nana Amponsah Kwaah IV has lobbyed for the provision of ten separate laptops and accessories to students of Kwanwoma D/A and Aburaso Methodist Junior High Schools.

The laptops which numbered up to 20 were solicited by Nana Amponsah Kwah IV from authorities of Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC) and presented to students as a way of improving their learning skills through ICT.

Speaking exclusively to GHANA BULLETIN ONLINE after the presentation, Nana Amponsah Kwah IV through whose instrumentality the laptops where acquired for the duo academic institutions said he was touched by the need to enhance the ICT knowledge of students in his area of jurisdiction.

As an educationist by profession coupled with his sterllar passion for issues related to education, Nana Amponsah Kwah IV assured that more educational policies will soon be rolled out to facelift the standard of accademics.

The forgoing he underscored forms part of his zealousness towards ensuring that Kwanwoma community becomes the beacon of hope not only in the area of development but in education as well.

As a way of giving more credence to his posture in matters related to education, the Chief has an excellent track record for being an advocate for diverse reforms in the education sector including the adequate resourcing of District Education Directors, the nationwide teaching of students in Akan language from the basic stage among others.

ed gratitude over accademic support in question offered by Nana Amponsah Kwah IV.

The Assistant Manager in charge of Sustainability and Partenership -GIFEC Mr. Richard Asiamah at the ceremony undercored that authorities of GIFEC through the Smart Communities Project is helping bridge the internet gap between peri-urban and urban areas to position Ghana as an IT-driven country.
