IGP’s aide quits police to contest in NDC parliamentary primaries

The Executive Secretary to the Inspector General of Police Asante Apeatu has quit from the police service to enable him contest in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries.

Superintendent Peter Lanchene Tuubo, Pulse.com.gh understands, retired voluntarily from the service to contest in the Wa West Constituency primaries of the NDC.

Supt. Tuubo will have to unseat Joseph Yiele Chireh , the incumbent Member of Parliament, to stand on the ticket of the NDC in Wa West, Upper West Region.

The NDC on Saturday closed nomination for its parliamentary primaries in the region.

A total of 46 aspirants picked nomination forms in the region
