A 17-year-old girl, Ramatu Tafida, has cut off the manhood of her fiance, Mr Abdullahi Sabo, in Babura Local Government Area of Jigawa state.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence spokesperson in the state, Adamu Shehu confirmed that the incident which occurred on Thursday was brought to their attention after they received information that some young people were going to avenge their friend’s death by lynching 17-year-old, Ramatu.

Although men of the Civil Defense corps were able to rescue the girl, her attackers still followed her to the corps office where she later confessed to mutilating her 25-year-old fiance, Sabo.
According to Shehu, “Ramatu confessed to have used a knife to cut off the manhood of her husband-to-be. She described Abdullahi as the love of her life and that he had even introduced himself to her family members and had equally paid N30,000 as an introduction fee. However, Ramatu later learnt that the victim planned to dump her for another girl since he had already had sexual intercourse with her. She said that was what made her to kill her fiancé”
