27th January, 2019
OUR CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILIES AND INSTITUTIONS
The National Union of Ghana Students received the news of the unfortunate demise of two Ghanaian students; Emmanuel Akandor and De-Graft Acheampong of University of Development Studies, Wa (UDS) and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) respectively with great shock and sorrow.
Akandor died through an alleged suicide yesterday whiles De-Graft through an unfortunate fire outbreak that happened in KO Methodist bookshop area, Kumasi yesterday, 27/01/19 around 10:30am.
The leadership of the Union advice students that, regardless of the endeavor or issue you are confronted with, SUICIDE SHOULD NEVER BE AN OPTION.
There are more opportunities to hold on to in the times of struggles.
Our heartfelt condolences to the families and institutions of the deceased. They contributed their quota in the Students struggle and we do appreciate them a lot on behalf of all Ghanaian students.
With our deepest sympathy and condolence, we grieve together with the affected families and institutions.
