Kotoko spectator steals show at Baba Yara with Club Beer and bread

A fan of Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko has set the internet ablaze after he was captured on camera gulping down a chilled Club Beer with tea bread.

The Kumasi-based side won their first game in the CAF Confederations Cup after defeating Zesco United 2-1 at home. Two first-half goals were enough to ensure that Kotoko snatched all three points at the Baba Yara stadium on Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

While the result was celebrated by football fans, it was another matter that dominated social media in the aftermath. While the match was ongoing, a Kotoko fan was spotted enjoying a bottle of beer with tea bread in the stands.

Although the name of the said fan is not known, he has since become an internet sensation after his photo went viral. Meanwhile Kotoko have moved to third place in their group, although they have the same points with Al Hilal, Nkana FC and Zesco United.

The Porcupine Warriors are also reported to have made a sum of $84,000 from the gates proceeds in their home game. They are scheduled to play their next CAF Confederations Cup game against Nkana FC.
