0 VICTOR OSIMHEN’S AGENT has threatened Napoli with LEGAL action after the striker was referred to as a “coconut” in a club-posted social media video.
Osimhen’s agent chastised the Italian champions for a now-deleted post that mocked their star player for missing a penalty in Sunday’s 0-0 Serie A draw against Bologna.
Napoli captioned his miss with “Gimme penalty please,” and added a whining voice-over that appeared to mock the ex-Lille player.
Another now-deleted post allegedly saw the club upload a video with a cropped shot of Osimhen’s head on a coconut and audio over the film saying, “I’m a coconut.”
On Tuesday night, Osimhen’s representative, Roberto Calenda, published a statement denouncing the club’s activities.
“What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable,” he stated.
“A video mocking Victor was made public and then, belatedly, removed.”
“A serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news” .
“We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”
Osimhen later erased all but one mention to Napoli from his Instagram account, leaving only images from Nigeria and his former teams.
