Making history by winning a record-breaking total of sixty-eight (68) medals, consisting of nineteen (19) gold, twenty-nine (29) silver, and twenty (20) bronze, Ghana’s participation in the All-African Games highlighted the nation’s unwavering commitment to sporting excellence and continental unity. This achievement represents a significant turning point for the country.

On the global stage, the athletes represented Ghana with pride and honor, thanks to their outstanding skill, tenacity, and sportsmanship.

Following the tournament, on Saturday, March 23, 2024, President Akufo-Addo praised the team’s exceptional performance in a statement.

“I want to express my gratitude to each and every member of the Ghanaian team for their everlasting commitment to excellence, tenacity, and dedication.

In addition to bringing honor to our country, your outstanding accomplishments have inspired a new generation of sports fans throughout our dear nation. The world has seen the best of Ghana thanks to you.”
