The NBA has experienced a hole left by the All-Time great Kobe Bryant for the past three years. The five-time champion retired in 2016, but his many court side appearances gave the impression that he had never left the sport.
Kobe continued to be an NBA mainstay, whether he was seated courtside with his daughter Gigi or coaching the young players. Regrettably, three years ago, Bryant was tragically killed in a helicopter crash.
The future Hall of Famer’s former agent, Rob Pelinka, presented Kobe Bryant’s final text message during the Celebration of Life for Kobe & Gianna Bryant.
It appears out that Bryant texted Pelinka about setting up an internship for a friend’s daughter while on the helicopter just before the terrible crash. Pelinka reacted even though he was in church because he felt compelled to address his lifelong friend.
As luck would have it, Kobe Bryant’s final words would be the deed of kindness. Below is a video of Pelinka’s stirring speech.
