THE ILLEGAL CALL ON THE EC TO RESIGN IS A PLOY BY THE NDC TO REJECT THE OUTCOME OF THE 2020 ELECTION WHEN THEY LOSE…… APJ

When a political party result to cynicism, bastardising and attacking institutions carrying out their core mandate specify by the Constitution of the land, then people must rise up, and it is for this reason, that, Action Patriots For Justice(APJ) is coming out strongly with this press release to expose the machinations of fmr. President Mahama, and the NDC.

The NDC is already wallowing in defeat ahead of the 2020 Elections, hence the incessant accusations and attacks against the Electoral commission and it’s Chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensa to prepare the grounds for possible rejection incase the 2020 elections do not go in their favour.

Clearly, the NDC is acting in bad faith, with a hidden agenda to give the EC and its Chairperson a bad name, to form the basis to oppose anything coming from that legally mandated institution manning our electoral process for political expediency

Not too long ago, an elder of the church of Pentecost, and National Chairman of the NDC, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, was heard vividly on tape, unveiling numerous obnoxious plans to cause insecurity, including assault and attack on the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission in this country and true to their words, they are executing exactly what Chairman Ofosu Ampofo tasked them to do.

APJ is by this press release, challenging the NDC to point out ONE thing, which the EC has done contrary to the law in her line of duty, for proper debate to possibly trigger her removal from office, or give the Electoral Commission and the commissioner, a peace of mind to carry out their legally sanctioned constitutional mandate.

APJ supports any constructive criticisms that will enhance our electoral process and aid the EC to function properly towards transmogrifying into a more trusted reputable commission, so that, the fears and doubts political parties have for the Electoral Commission anytime government changes, will be a thing of the past.

If former president Mahama could boldly speak for the EC on the 6th July 2016, saying: “Let us give the EC the peace of mind to do its work, they have done it before and indeed our electoral commission is one of the best commissions in the whole world and we have confidence in them to be able to conduct an election and so let’s leave them peacefully to conduct the election” (Source: myjoyonline.com, 06-07-2016)
The big question is; What has suddenly Changed, Mr. Mahama, for questioning the neutrality of the EC in the 2020 elections?
Is it DESPERATION for power or HYPOCRISY? Maybe both combined.

The law that removed Mrs Charlotte Osei from office is no respecter of persons. Isn’t it proper to support Mrs Jean Mensa until a point where she acts contrary to the law, for the same law to deal with her?

Let us be responsible citizens but not careless spectators throwing tantrums just to cause tension and insecurity in this country.
