Hearts of Oak sack Sergio Traguil; Yaw Preko steps in

Struggling Ghanaian powerhouse Hearts of Oak have sacked coach Sérgio Traguil, just two months after his appointment, amid widespread believe the side’s downward spiral has affected their fortunes of ending a long-wait for a Premier League crown, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The tough-talking Portuguese, who took over from Kenichi Yatsuhashi has flattered to deceive since he assumed the role eight weeks ago.

Assistant coach Yaw Preko has been handed the role in an interim capacity pending the appointment of a substantive trainer with just three games to end the season.

Hearts chances of winning their first Premier League title in seven years is fast fading as they lie fourth on the table, sixth points adrift of leaders Wa All Stars with only three games left to spare.

In a move which was hugely speculated in the local media, officials have opted to part ways with the trainer after he refused to revert to Auroras – the side’s feeder club.
