E/R:4 ESCAPE DEATH IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT ASSESIESO

A trailer with registration number AW 2691-14 carrying wooden palettes has involved in a serious accident at Assesieso-(Adukrom-Somanyaroad ) in an attempt to negotiate a curve on the Assesieso mountain.

The accident left one person seriously injured and has since been rushed to Yilo Krobo District Hospital.

Personnel from Ghana Ambulance Service from Yilo Krobo Municipal were deployed to convey the injured while Ghana National Fire Service personnel from both Yilo Krobo Municipal and Adukrom also played a key to curtail the situation.

Many road users were left stranded due to the heavy traffic.

According to eye witnesses account, the driver was over speeding while others believe the driver in intoxicated.
