VERY SAD: MY CLINIC HAS BEEN COLLAPSED AND MY HEALTH IS IN DANGER -SENA ROSE DEKU.

Madam Sena-Rose Deku is a retired midwife and the proprietor of Nelmax Clinic house number (17 EUCALYPTUS STREET COMMUNITY 20-LASHIBI)

 

she has called on authorities to, as a matter of urgency, halt the operations of a goat shed situated opposite her facility.

 

According to her, the rearing of the goats opposite her outfit has become the biggest challenge of all for her, citing the offensive stench from the feces of the goats.

In an interview with the media she stated  that the operation of the shed has collapsed her clinic and made her lose everything including her financial income.

She also bemoaned the fact that the shed could be blatantly sited there without any regard for other establishments, adding that her building was the first to be built in the vicinity, although she moved in later.

According to her, she had little appreciation of the issues in the facility until she came down from Germany (where she had been practicing as a midwife) on retirement.

“The clinic was running 24/7 until my neighbour started rearing goats…
The doctor who was running the clinic left due to the situation. It’s has been six years now, and the whole clinic is empty”,
Madam Deku stated that she had been briefed that the goat shed belonged to a politician, specifically a minister, whose name she didn’t disclose. She additionally observed that this unnamed politician has gained support from other houses in the residential area that rear goats too.

She said the stench from the feces has not only collapsed her business, where she also resides, but also worsened her asthmatic condition.

 

Anytime this caretakers of the goats rearing clean the animals feces then the air will blow everything to my bed room because my windows are directly opposite their house, and because am an asthmatic patients then my breath will be seized and I can’t breathe.
She said I nearly died one night when my asthma attacked me all because of the contaminated air that I breathe in so I was rushed to the hospital and spent almost a week in the hospital, so I contact the estate authorities and I didn’t see anything proper done because the owner of the of the Land is a politician or a very high person in the in the country I think, said by madam Sena-Rose Deku.

Madam Deku further intimated that she once invited the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to ascertain the problem and assist with any corrective action; however, according to her, officers or the Agency have been adamant, purportedly because the shed is owned by a politician or a very high person so the agency left without doing anything or help solve the problem.

Madam Sena-Rose Deku said because of the unfair treatment that has been given to her she have to leave her own house that she built with her own money and go and stay in the village which is very not appropriate and very sad.

She demanded an immediate stop to the goat rearing activities and payment of compensation for her loss of business, worsened health condition, and destruction of plants at her facility.
