NUGS TO TAKE PART IN GHANA INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE (GIMUN) 2019

SUBJECT: NUGS TO TAKE PART IN GHANA INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE (GIMUN) 2019

The National Union of Ghana Students wishes to bring to the attention of the student body in Ghana that, some members of the National Executive Committee and National Executive Officers will take part in the 10th Session of Ghana International Model United Nations Conference which will take place from 2nd – 5th January, 2019 in Accra at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana.

The theme for GIMUN 2019 is “Stepping Toward Transformation”. The NUGS delegation to the GIMUN will be led by President of NUGS, H.E Tinkaro Asare Osei who will be assisted by the General Secretary of NUGS , Pius Yeboah ,the International Relations Secretary,Miss Eunice Garibah ,the Coordinating Secretary of NUGS. Mr Shadrach Owusu, the Press and Information of NUGS, Mr Kobby Otchere Marfo ,the Financial Controller of NUGS, Mr Eric Guggisberg..

The President of NUGS, H.E Tinkaro Asare Osei will deliver a speech at the event to update delegates across the continent on the position of the National Union of Ghana Students on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and what the union will do in assiting stakeholders involved in its implementation to ensure we reach the goals for the benefit of the African Continent.

The Model United Nations conference will have a lengthy agenda and delegates will represent various United Nations member states to pursue their interest on global issues especially on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
