NUGS CELEBRATED VALENTINE’S DAY WITH ASHANTI SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

The National Union of Ghana Students through the office of the women’s commission celebrated the Valentine’s day on 14th February 2019 with the Ashanti School for the Deaf at Jamasi in the Ashanti Region.

The delegation to the school included, Mr. Tinkaro Asare Osei, President of NUGS, Miss Vida Opoku Agyemang, Women’s Commissioner of NUGS, Mr Solomon Cudjoe, Education Secretary of NUGS,Mr. Austin Brew,SRC President, University of Education Mampong Campus, Mr. Peter Darkwah, Local NUGS President, University of Education Mampong Campus, Celestine NorGorh ,SRC Secretary,University of Education Mampong Campus, Otuo Acheampong Rabbi ,Local NUGS President, IBMJ and Vera ,Women’s Commissioner, IBMJ.

The event was aimed at interacting with the Students on such an important day in the calendar of the world.
The union interacted with them ,encouraged them to take their education serious.
NUGS as well assured them of the commitment on the part of its current leadership to put in place the necessary measures to addressed their challenges which included the inability to have access to infrastructural facilities and the issues that related to how they are being treated by their parents etc.

NUGS applaud all those who contributed their quota in making a program a success.

NUGS is committed to fighting for the interest of Ghanaian students and we shall continue to put measures in place in addressing challenges of students
