A Ghanaian staker has emerged the lucky winner of the biggest sporting jackpot in Ghana’s history after winning GHC 990, 650 with a GHC 4 bet.
According to report by Graphic Online, Kwame Fosuhene, a resident of Kumasi placed a bet on 15 matches across the English Championship, English Premier League, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1, Spanish La Liga and German Bundesliga.Apparently, Kwame could have won up to GHC 1,600,000 (280,000 pounds) if he had placed in a final bet, however he decided to cash out before the English Premier League match between Chelsea and West Ham United on Monday night.
Officials of Betway Ghana have confirmed Kwame Fosuhene’s winnings, and stated that arrangements were being made to present the money to him at the end of this month.
Grpahic Onile also reports that Kwame will receive a one-time payment and Betway Ghana will offer to pay for a financial planner to advise him.
