Mr Johnson Asiedu-Nketia, the General Secretary, says though the National Democratic Congress are having issues with the Ghana Card, there is no doubts about the usefulness of the Ghana Card.

He therefore indicated that their worry was however with the manner the government was going about the registration and issuance of the Cards and cautioned that if care was not taken there could be confusion.

“If the Ghana Card is not managed as a national project, it will bring confusion and disaster to the nation”.

He was addressing NDC faithful from the Obuasi East and Obuasi West Constituencies after unity walk in the gold mining town of Obuasi.

Mr. Asiedu-Nketia further called on government to be more circumspect with registration are beibe done since most people might not have either passport or birth certificate and for that find it convenient in using their voters ID to register for the card.
