Ayariga and his cohorts are just confused- Kennedy Agyapong

The New Patriotic Party member of parliament of Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has described the alleged bribery allegation against the Appointments Committee by some members of the Minority, as embarrassing.
According to him, the accusers have no foundation on which they have based their allegation, and only seek to destroy the integrity of the committee, led by Joseph Osei-Owusu.

The businessman and politician was speaking on Adom TV’s breakfast show when he said, “I have listened to them and I think it’s rather an embarrassment to the NDC members because if you pay critical attention, you will realise that Mahama Ayariga and his cohorts are just confused and framing things up.”
During the vetting process for the president’s ministerial nominees a few weeks ago, bribery allegations were thrown at some members on the vetting committee.
It was alleged that Boakye Agyarko, the now Energy Minister had bribed the minority MPs on the committee to the amount of GHC 3000 each, to push his approval forward.
The alleged bribe was supposedly given to the chairman of the committee Joseph Osei-Owusu, and the Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak who then distributed it to the others.
However, when presented before the ad-hoc committee set up to investigate the bribery allegation, Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu, Hon. Muntaka Mubarak and Mr Boakye Agyarko denied the allegations.
Meanwhile on Monday, Mahama Ayariga during the committee hearing stated emphatically that Muntaka Mubarak revealed to him that the bribe money came from Mr Agyarko.
Remarking further on the matter, Kennedy Agyapong said,“Yes we have a committee investigating the matter, but the issue is very serious and needs to be investigated even if the committee is done with their investigation because we need to get to the bottom of this matter.”
