E/R: SUKWA ENSTOOLS NEW CHIEF TO CHAMPION DEVELOPMENT
The Kingmakers and Council of Elders of kwahu Sukwa near kwahu praso in the Kwahu South Municipality of the Eastern Region have announced the enstoolment of a new chief for Sukwa.
The new Chief was enstooled under the stool name Nana Agyekumhene I. The enstoolment was done in kwahu Sukwa
After going through the customary and traditional processes, the Chief was outdoored and presented to the larger family/clan and the entire Sukwa township in a colourful procession through the principal streets ending with a durbar at the school park.
Speaking to Angel News reporter Oheneba Siaw, Nana Agyekumhene I said his aim is to collaborate with the Assembly through the Assembly member in the electoral area to create fund to support students who can’t afford to further their education after completing school. He further said their deplorable road is his priority to make sure it’s being constructed and other developmental projects.
On his part, Nana Ampadu kyeamri I Obo Krontihene said it has been a long time the people of Sukwa have been crying for a chief and being so good, all the cry has come to an end as they have get a new chief.
He gave a special thanks to some of the elders/nananom who played a major role in making the dream of Sukwa comes true.
Meanwhile, some of the residents also couldn’t hide their joy for getting a new chief and took the opportunity to outline their expectations from the new chief
