Press Release

February 26th, 2018

DR. EDWARD ASADU and his team wish to salute all gallant delegates who defied the odds to grace yesterday’s function in their numbers.

Amidst threats of intimidation and foul propaganda, you showed loyalty, extreme love and patriotism towards our great party.

Many of you were highly disappointed and dismayed at the turn of event in the course of the program which was marked by overwhelming upheaval, resulting in the senseless battering of Dr. Edward Asadu, the Constituency Chairman hopeful, whose name was illegally expunged from the ballot papers. This ravish activity was ordered by Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi (The MP for Asante Akim North Constituency and Second deputy Minister for Railway Development) in the presence of the Konongo Divisional Police Commander DSP Bossman. It’s sad to note that the security details who were supposed to ensure peace and sanity endorsed this unlawful activity by refusing to arrest those who assaulted Dr Asadu.

We wish to put on record that the Electoral Commission which is legally mandated to conduct the election called the election off. *The EC never conducted the election.* The supposed election that was supervised by Kwaku Atta and those unscrupulous TESCON executives was an illegality.

We wish to appeal to all our cherished delegates and the general membership of the great Danquah-Busia-Dombo-Tradition to remain resolute but, calm as we take steps and the necessary actions to remedy this unfortunate cataclysm.

#Long live AAN Constituency
#Long live the New Patriotic Party
#Long live Ghana
