Some members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti region have invoked the dreaded Antoa Nyama deity on anyone who attempts to rig the election for the NPP.

The youth masked their faces with red bands and other materials going Ana way to prevent people to see their faces holding NDC flags said, they will not allow any forms of intimidations melted on their members in the Ashanti Region

Their action, was triggered by some misunderstanding that happened between some members of NDC and NPP at some electoral offices where the registration exercise is going on in the Ashanti Region, according to the youth.

TVNEWSGH.COM who witnessed the event indicated that the young men and women came with crate of eggs, some bottles of schnapps and a white sheep started invoke the curses on the Electoral Commission (EC) chairperson, Jean Mensah, the Deputy Dr. Bossman Asare and members of the NPP especially in the Ashanti Region and parents who would want to bring confusion in an ongoing limited voters’ registration exercise in front of the NDC party regional office.

They alleged that the EC boss is conniving with the ruling party to use the exercise to disenfranchise some eligible persons from having their names onto the register in the Ashanti Region.

According to the angry youth, the ec and her cohorts want to rig the election 2020 for President Akufo Addo and NPP that is why they are doing that.

The aggrieved men further called on the god of thunder and some river gods to instantly kill the EC chair, Mrs. Mensah if she decides to help the NPP to win the polls.

The youth according to TVNEWS.COM reporter, then sacrificed a sheep to the gods and promised them the children of every victim of the curse.

This is not the first time an opposition party is cursing the ec over electoral disputee.

It would be recalled that on the last day of November 2016, Abronye DC invoked curses on Madam Charlotte Osei the former chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Permanent and temporal workers on electoral processes

According to him, if they dared rig the elections in favour of NDC then the god of thunder should wipe all their nuclear families from the face of the earth.

He then sacrificed a sheep to the gods and promised them the children of every victim of the curse.

He again invoked another curse on the security men and women who will attempt to intimidate NPP supporters or aid NDC in their alleged rigging plans on Election Day.

The electoral commission has allotted 20 days for Ghanaians who have attained 18-years and above and of good sound to register their names.

The exercise took off on last Monday, 7th June to 27th June this year.
