Focus On Grassroots Welfare or We’ll Lose 2024 Elections – Chairman Abutey Appeals

Former Central Regional Chairman, Mr Danquah Smith (Butey) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged his party leadership to pay greater attention to the welfare of its members.

The need for the party to concentrate its attention on effective grassroots mobilization to ensure victory in the 2024 elections.

Some of the Ministers, MPs, MMDCES are very very stingy towards the grassroots.

According to Chairman Butey, who is lacing his boot to contest the National 1st Vice Chairmanship portfolio when nominations are opened next year 2022.

He revealed that, in order to break the 8(eight) which is the wish of the rank and file of the party shall be possible only through unity and rewarding of the grassroots Footsoldiers who killed themselves to win and retained the party at the 2020 elections that saw H. E. Nana Akufo Addo winning his second term.

He mentioned that, the party can help build a strong party from the grassroots by creating a robust Welfare Fund to be used for the welfare needs of the party members, including the polling station and constituency executives, regional and national officers, communicators, the serial callers, who put their lives on the line for the party.

He further express that, NIA Boss Ken Atafua should resign himself if he wants a neutral people because he is an Executive.

This followers the statement made by ken Attafua that, Akuffo Addo has Instructed him not to employ NPP Executive.
