In a Friday Prime Morning interview with Joy Prime’s Roselyn Felli, Maame Dokono recounted the reason behind the late actor’s passing, saying that Waakye’s death was due to an error made by someone. Waakye passed away unexpectedly. I chatted with Waakye that morning, and by the nightfall of that day, he had passed away, therefore it was clearly someone’s fault.”

A few days after Waakye’s death, Maame Dokono revealed the reason for the actor’s demise in an interview. According to her, Waakye was taken to Ridge Hospital right away, but because there weren’t enough hospital beds, he was eventually moved to the 37 Military Hospital. This, she said, happened a week later, after they’d attended a coworker’s 70th birthday party and he looked good.

The cause of Waakye’s death was disclosed by Maame Dokono in an interview a few days after the actor passed away. She stated Waakye was rushed to Ridge Hospital, but was later transferred to the 37 Military Hospital because there weren’t enough hospital beds. She claimed that this occurred a week later, following their attendance at a coworker’s 70th birthday celebration, where he appeared well.

With warm recollections of the characters from the hit television series “Obra,” Maame Dokono, as she was known, wished that all of the actors—Waakye in particular, and Richard Kwame Agyeman, better known as Odompo—would return.

The renowned actress, however, hopes to live to be as old as her mother, who passed away at the age of 100. I’m going on eighty years old. My goal is to resemble my mother. She lived to be 115 years old, so if I look after myself, I ought to be able to live to reach that age as well.
