Bryan Acheampong’s Statement Is Reckless, A Threat To National Security~~Dr. Clement Clinton Blay Hints.

The national convener for Citizens For Truth And Accountability, Ghana (CITAG), Dr. Clement Clinton Blay has chastised the member of Parliament for Abetifi and the former national security minister, Bryan Acheampong for threatening to unleash mayhem in the 2024 general elections.

 

 

Brayn Acheampong who doubles as the minister for Food and Agriculture is draged to the mud with attacks from Ghanaians and some gurus of the National Democratic Congress, following a declaration he made at Kwahu Mpraeso on Saturday.

Bryan Acheampong says the New Patriotic Party will not be fooled to hand over power to the National Democratic Congress in 2025 even if the opposition emerges winner.

 

 

He emphasized that the ruling party (NPP) will show the opposition National Democratic Congress that they have the men to enforce their plots.

However, reacting to the comment following the declaration, the advocacy group convener Dr. Clement Clinton Blay reveals that, Brayn Acheampong’s statement is a clear confession of the New Patriotic Party’s evil hidden plots to beats war drums to manipulate and rig 2024 general elections.

 

 

Speaking to a section of journalists on Sunday in Takoradi, Dr Clement Blay said, the Abetifi MP has lowered his reputation with his recent comments because many Ghanaians thought he was one of the respected Ghanaian politicians.

According to Dr. Blay, though the lawmaker’s comment is condemnable, considered as reckless and childish but remains a threat to the long lasting peace of the country.

 

He mentioned that majority of Ghanaians have no unquenchable taste for fear and intimidation amidst the current economic hardships thus, the NPP can’t leverage on threats to retain power for their parochial interest.

 

According to the group, the former national security minister must know better considering the level of his pedigree in Ghanaian politics.

To this end, Citizens For Truth And Accountability, Ghana (CITAG) has called on the Ghana police service to immediately effect an arrest and investigate the former national security minister because his pronouncement echoes the propensity of the NPP to use violence to disrupt elections.

 

He argues that anybody who beats war drums in any form must be arrested, adding that the Abetifi MP’s comments has a critical security implications.
