The Ghanaian delegation that competed at the All-African Games received the warmest congratulations from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
For the first time in the history of the country, President Akufo-Addo thanked the team and the people for their faith in the government’s competence to organize the Games.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the people of Ghana for their faith in the government’s ability to host the Games for the first time in our nation’s history. I am also grateful that you disregarded the doubters who questioned the determination of our country and demanded that the games be canceled.”
“Let us reiterate our commitment to advancing sports as a means of fostering national growth and unity as we celebrate this extraordinary achievement. By working together, we can use athletics’ transforming ability to create a better, healthier, and more wealthy Ghana for future generations.”
