THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA
JUBILEE HOUSE
ACCRA
Dear Sir,
PETITION
I write this petition to request your high office to kindly set up an investigative body to look into the activities of the previous Administration of Ghana Maritime Authority priort o 2017. Their tenure saw so much loses to the institution and the country at large.
I am of the believe that the level of mismanagement was grave and was on the ascendancy at GMA which brought so much loses to the extent that, the new administration had to borrow from banks in order to pay workers’ salaries in 2017 when
they took over from the old administration.
Mr. President, I am of the opinion that people like Mr. Kwame Owusu are selfless individuals and upon assumption of office as GMA boss chalked so much success in the
area of revenue generation which resulted in profits and the institution was put back on track which is clear to everyone now.
Sir, l would like to urge that you set up an investigative team to look into the previous administration prior to the assumption of office of Mr. Kwame Owusu to actually determine the reasons behind the huge losses made previously as compared to the current
state.
My fellow NPP man at Ghana Maritime Authority destroyed me – Former Maritime boss
I believe that, the likes of Mr. Kwame Owusu who are selfless and patriotic and are doing so well in their various institutions may fall victim to these selfish individuals who have decided to only pursue their agenda by destroying these good people in our society with the help of some media houses.
If care is not taken their actions would discourage such fine personalities to take up government appointments which in the long run would be to the detriment of our country. For example, in 2016 revenue Generation was 64 million with 72 million in expenditure which means 8 million deficit
or loss.
2017 Revenue generation 99 million with 56 million in expenditure which means 43 million surplus or profit
2018 Revenue generation 141 million with 73 million in expenditure 68 million as surplus or profit.
It must be noted that, I have never met
Mr. Kwame Owusu but have followed the issue closely, but I’m extremely worried about the future of our country if we allow such distortion to go on and blossom.
As a country we need good people desperately. What kind of future are we projecting if we allow good people to be demonized and instead celebrate incompetence and blatant
thievery.
Mr. President, I am calling for this investigation to balance the present lopsided presentation that has distorted the true narrative.
I trust your high office would give this petition the needed attention it deserves.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
…Signed…..
