Asante Kotoko group opponents in the CAF Confederation Cup Al Hilal have sacked their head coach Irad Zaafouri following their defeat to Nkana FC in Zambia on Wednesday.
The Tunisian manager was shown the exit on Friday over what the management of the clubs describes as incompetence after suffering a 2-1 defeat to the Zambian side.
Reports in Sudan indicate that a new coach will be announced within 48 hours.
Irad led Al Hilal to register a 1-0 defeat over Asante Kotoko but their failure to pick at least a point in Zambia on Wednesday has not gone down well with the management.
Al Hilal are now 2nd in the group with 3 points with Kotoko in 3rd position with the same points while ZESCO United still lead on superior goals difference.
Nkana are bottom with 3 points, leaving the group wide open.
