On 23/7/19 @ about 11:00pm,konongo police task force led by G/Sgt Sulemana Seidu and four men assisted by Regional Highway Patrol Team Kumasi ,acted upon an information received from konongo District Commander Supt.Gordon Opoku Koduah intercepted sprinter bus with registration # GR 145-15 loaded with 17 pieces of railway lines metals which had been stolen from Ohene Nkwanta railways area near Odumasi()That the suspects on board the said vehicle abandoned the vehicle with it’s contents and fled into a nearby bush on seeing the police teams approaching but one of them was fired() On 24/07/19 @ about 6:00am ,Police had an information from Konongo-Odumasi Government Hospital that one Abdul Dramani,aged 33 years was there with an injury on his left shoulder to seek medical attention and it was being suspected to be an injury from gunshot()Police proceeded and met the said Abdul Dramani with the injury on admission ()During Police interrogations,he confessed to be at the scene with the escapees,hence he was re arrested and placed under Police guard()Suspect is responding to treatment()Efforts are underway to trace the owner of the sprinter bus to assist in apprehending the suspect driver and his accomplices ()The management of Regional railways cooperation has since been informed()
