AFCON 2019: Songo attacks Kwesi Appiah over failure to secure a win

The host of Fire for Fire on Adom TV, Countryman Songo born Patrick Osei Agyemang has angrily descended on the coach of Ghana Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah following the Black Stars poor performance at the AFCON 2019.

In a video shared online from the maverick sports journalist, Countryman Songo seems not to understand why Kwesi Appiah who claims he had excellent camping has not secured a single win at the AFCON 2019.

According to Countryman Songo, Kwesi Appiah and his team were paid with taxpayer’s money to go and bring the AFCON 2019 trophy.

Kwesi Appiah, what are you teaching the boys? Their performance against Benin and Cameroon shows that your tactics are poor. The taxpayer’s money has been used to pay you all so you must upgrade the poor performance of the team,” Songo said.

But the way he keeps drawing with his competitors, the dream might not be realized so he is warning him to sip up and do what he is being paid to do.

 

Songo added that the coach be will be sacked as the coach of the Ghana Black stars if he fails to bring the trophy back to Ghana at the end of the tournament.

“If you continue like this and fail at making the team perform well at the AFCON, we will sack you,” he ranted. Ghana must win the trophy. 37 years of no trophy is disheartening so if we don’t win, you will go,” referring to the coach.

Ghana Blacks Stars played 2-2 against Benin in their first match at the AFCON 2019. They again went goalless when they played Cameroon in their second match. The Ghana Black Stars will play their 3rd game tonight, against Guinee Bissau.
