It is with immeasurably sorrow over this unimaginable loss of a brother and a friend that I I write this.

Ahmed Divela Hussein you were the first person I met at Tiger Eye when I reported for duty.

We just started chatting and from that day you became a mentor, a friend and a brother.
My very first assigment was with you. I remember with so much pain and fondness of how you patiently and firmly showed me the ropes. Guided me through the dangerous currents of this job.

This profession that we’ve engaged in is life threatening. Our lives are never secured.
But for God and country,we served.

You were strong, you were firm and you were brave. So brave that even with threats to our lives, you encouraged me, encouraged the team to strive the more.

You were a wonderful brother to me, supporting me with your gentle and caring nature. One of your beliefs in life was the importance of being authentic with people, saying what needs to be said because it’s good for the relationship and for the soul. Unfinished business causes pain and having peace is essential for a healthy and joyful life.

I am sorry I always brushed you off, whenever you talked about the possibility of dying on this job. It was as if you knew you will be gunned down.

They say good things don’t last, and you, were one of the good ones, Ahmed

I will remember your for all the tomorrows I have left which are not even promised.
Even though my heart is filled with pain and sorrow, I will remember you in every tomorrow.

Rest in Peace my brother
