Speaking in an interview with Today last week Friday during a visit to Battor to ascertain the facts of the matter, some supporters of the NPP in the area accused the North Tongu Constituency Chairman of the party, Mr. Saviour Kudzo Nyadudzo, of using intimidating tactics to get Mr. Arku out of the position.
They pointed out that Mr. Nyadidzi’s conduct was out of order, alleging that he has the support of some top elements in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to sabotage Mr. Arku.
They charged the leadership of the NPP to take responsibility for their actions which, they said, had brought “fear and serious division among members and supporters of the party in the area.
Meanwhile Mr. Nyadudzi has since denied the allegation, and called on Ghanaians to disregard it.
Also the NPP supporters in the Biakoye District have threatened to defect from the party if President Akufo-Addo fails to re-nominate Madam Millicent Kabuki Carboo as the DCE.
