Stephen Ayesu Ntim’s Victory As National Chairman would Rekindle the Grassroots Hope – Constituency Dir. Of Communications

How the 2024 general elections in Ghana will be and the alacrity with which the NDC is handling its propaganda through its failed 2020 presidential candidate must not be underrated by political watchers.

Christened “do or die elections”, the NDC knew why they amplified that mantra through John Dramani Mahama.

This explains why the NPP as a viable political force must prepare very well through a leader who is a “bridge-builder”, a leader determined to repair any dark spots in the party to ensure our vibrancy and victory.

Stephen Ntim, a unifier with extensive experience can do the job. His track records speak for themselves through all constituencies and how he rekindled their hopes through a shared vision. These are attributes our great party is associated with, and Stephen Ntim shows the way.

Hope and popularity could dwindle in any political party, and the NPP is no exception. There is a perception that our party has been slow in demonstrating that leadership must be used to build bridges of hope, and this is an account of what happened during our 2020 parliamentary primaries.

The general assumption is that our party must prioritize open and unbiased contests devoid of “scheming and machinations”.

For political watchers, people have to be allowed to contest our primaries by their competencies and popularity as known by the delegates and the constituents and nothing else. Our woes in parliament today could have been avoided if we had been a little bit cautious in leadership contestations.

On the strength of this background, the appeal to 2022 delegates is to consider and choose a dependable leader, and Stephen Ntim fits into this leadership role.
He remains a bridge builder and when given the nod as the party’s national chairman will help in the rebranding efforts of our great party. NPP needs vibrant leadership and the time is now.
