Ofosu-Ampofo’s Leaked Tape Does Not Have Any Effect On Us . . . We’re Not Worried – Gen. Mosquito

NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia

The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has downplayed the leaked tape of Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo saying the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is trying to play mischief with it.

According to him, the tape does not portray the character of Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo.

Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ programme, he maintained that Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo’s leaked tape does not have any effect on the party and that they are not worried.

Even though he refused to comment on Ofosu-Ampofo’s leaked tape, he suggests that government should purchase an equipment that can determine a real and a fake tape.

“Every leaked tape in this country is said to be doctored . . . I call on President Akufo-Addo to help purchase an equipment to solve this problem once and for all,” he said.

“The party is not in anyway worried about the tape, this tape does not represent the Ofosu-Ampofo I know,” he added.

A leaked tape believed to be a voice of the Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ofosu- Ampofo heard in a meeting held at the partys headquarters allegedly planning strategies the NDC will use to regain power in 2020.

National Chairman, Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo, who could be heard speaking to some party members without equivocation, noted the NDC will target lives of NPP members in 2020 since state security cannot protect them.

According to him, another delicate aspect to win the 2020 election is targeting the EC Chairperson, Madam Jean Mensa.

”We must wage a relentless war on this EC Chair, me she doesn’t want to see my face . . .” he told the party gathering.

“We will go after them, but we will not go after them face-to-face. We have to use tactical operation to make life very uncomfortable for them. We will target some people and we will let the people know that their lives are in danger,” Ofosu-Ampofo allegedly said.

Adding that, “Once their lives are in danger they themselves will be careful. As for that one I want to assure that we will go all out to ensure . . . as President Mahama said when it comes to this game we are better than them.”
