Mobile Money: MTN Drops Very Important Message For Their MoMo Subscribers -Details

The National Communications Authority (NCA) has extended a lifeline to mobile subscribers whose services have been restricted as a result of failure to re-register their SIM cards.

It is still possible to register that SIM card and have access to all services, including MoMo wallets. If users register their SIM cards with their Ghana Cards, this would be made feasible.

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the minister of communications, declared that all mobile SIM cards will be reregistered starting on October 1, 2021.

Due to issues with SIM card users, the exercise’s initial six-month duration was repeatedly extended, with the final due date being set for May 31.

While banned subscribers without a Ghana Card won’t be able to make calls or send texts, Dr. Ashigbey claims that when the cards become available to them, they will be able to reach the registering short code *404#.

The 400 would also be operational since “you will also be able to check whether you are registered. So that you can recover your number with all of its history when you return with your Ghana Card, he continued.

Numerous mobile network users have flocked to various Kumasi telecommunications service centers in a last-ditch effort to get involved and
