Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has made his first signing of a busy summer window expected at Arsenal and he’s certainly a winner.
Mikel Arteta has signed a chocolate Labrador to Arsenal’s London Colney training ground over the last month in a bid to lift morale. The dogs name is ‘Win’. After a run of bad form for Arsenal, including a defeat at the Etihad, Mikel Arteta felt that he needed to do something to lift the players mood and morale, so he decided to add a dog called “Win” to the training ground, to improve the team cohesion and lift the spirits.
Win is a very popular member around London Colney already. Her owner is a member of staff, who she lives with, but she comes in a few times a week and roams the training ground.
The Arsenal boss is renowned for thinking outside the box in his bid to exploit marginal gains where last season he played out ‘You Never Walk Alone’ during training before Arsenal’s trip to Anfield in order to get the players familiar with the atmosphere. During the Amazon All or Nothing series, we also saw some of Mikel Arteta’s crazy team talks ahead of matches where he once brought a lightbulb into the dressing room to help transmit positive energy.
