Ghana Politics News-The Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Hon Collins Owusu Amankwah has swept two awards in his tour of the United States of America (USA).
At separate events in Aurora and Denver, the youthful legislator received honors for his contribution to peace and security in the country as well as his commitment to the development of Asanteman.
At the Aurora meeting, the famous Ghanaian legislator was decorated with honors for his brilliant presentation in Parliament on the state of security in Ghana.
In Denver, Colorado, the Asanteman Association honored Hon Amankwah for his commitment to the development of Ghana and in particular Asanteman.
The Mayor of Aurora who presented the first award described the Manhyia-North MP as a champion of peace and security in Ghana.
RESPONSES:
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper, Hon Amankwa expressed profuse appreciation to the people of Aurora for conferring on him such honor.
He thanked the Mayor of the Municipality for finding him worthy to be nominated to receive such award.
Hon Amankwah said the award will energize him to work for the security of the people of Ghana especially those in the Manhyia-North community.
He pledged his commitment to ensuring the peace of Ghana is maintained at all cost since such atmosphere enables development to thrive.
‘’I am elated to receive honors from the Aurora Municipality and I believe it is in order to recognize people who choose to champion the course of the people they serve in the area of security and peace’’, Hon Amankwah posited.
COMMENDATION:
Commending the Asanteman Association-USA branches, the Manhyia North ‘Mugabe’ as he is fondly referred thanked the organizers for the award.
He noted the work he does is to the people of Ghana and the constituency he has privilege to serve.
In this service, Hon Amakwah noted Asanteman has always been in mind, adding all he does is geared towards the development of Asanteman.
He urged the group to do its part to support the work some of them are currently doing in the country as well as Asanteman so that collectively they could help develop Ghana.
