Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has made serious allegations against the Bank of Ghana-appointed receiver for defunct financial institutions, Eric Nana Nipah of Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC), MyNewsGh.com has filed.
The NPP MP is of the firm conviction that Eric Nipa is working in the interest of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) and must be sacked immediately.
According to him, BoG governor, Ernest Addison must prepare to go out and campaign alone for Akufo-Addo’s re-election if Eric Nipah is not dismissed.
Kennedy Agyapong, who has gained notoriety for making allegations without evidence, said Eric Nipah is an NDC member and is in cahoots with his party to make government unpopular by dragging and frustrating ordinary Ghanaians.
He says the process of validation and payment is snail-paced deliberately to take the crisis deep into 2020 as part of the agenda, hence, NPP must watch out.
“NPP people behave like they are the most democratic in the whole world. The guy is a typical NDC, thick! Did they check the background? I don’t mind giving a contract to a Ghanaian. I don’t have a problem, but where he plays politics to sabotage you… Are you dumb?” he quizzed.
He was speaking on Net2 TV monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
It was also alleged on the show that PwC has ‘confessed’ that they have nothing to do with the receivership, and that it is Eric Nipah’s ‘personal contract’.
“I am not saying don’t employ Ghanaians or don’t employ NDC. What I am saying is that, don’t give a job to someone who will sabotage your vision, why should you subject yourself to that? Why?” Kennedy Agyapong asked.
“The guy doesn’t have the bigger picture, and all he is doing is to sabotage this government. We are stupid to give the contract to him… I don’t give a damn about the governor! “No no no…! Hell no!”
