The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako-Attah, has bemoaned the prevalence of criminals and corrupt individuals in his ministry and the futility of all attempts to purge them.
The distressed minister was seen on camera complaining angrily about corruption, which he confessed is killing Ghana, in a Graphic Online video.
He asserts that government officials, employees, and others are hell-bent on accumulating so much fortune at the expense of the national interest that they will carry it with them to their graves when they pass away.
“There are many dishonest individuals and many thieves in my ministry. What sort of country are we creating for ourselves if we fire them, hire new ones, and when they arrive, the new ones are even worse than the ones you fired?
“We shall perish and leave everything behind, I don’t know what people want. We are all dead, as are those who came before us. Where are the well-known figures who have money and wealth that we have heard about? Amoako-Attah sobbed, “Look at what we are seeing, and we are citizens of this nation.
