Ibrahim Mahama storms the Volta Region by giving the victims of the Akosombo dam spill the “biggest” contribution.

Torgbega Patamia Dzekley VII, the Paramount Chief of Bator, thanked Ibrahim Mahama for saving their bacon at this critical juncture.

Since a few weeks ago, the Volta River Authority (VRA) has been pouring water from the Akosombo and Kpong dams, putting their key reservoirs for hydroelectric power generation at risk of overflowing.

Communities around the Volta River have suffered greatly as a result of the spill; the severely damaged areas include Mepe, Battor, Sogakope, and Anloga, among many others.
