Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang and Dr. Edward Asadu sponsor Asante Akyem North District Mock Exams for JHS Candidates

The Board Chairman for National Sports Authority and Former Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North Constituency, Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang and the CEO of Asadu Royal Waste Management, Dr. Edward Asadu jointly presented examination materials to the Asante Akyem North Education Directorate on Friday, 8th March 2019 to enable it organise the yearly District Mock Exams for the JHS Candidates preparing to write their BECE this year.

This kind gesture by these noble men was necessitated upon a plea for sponsorship from the District Director of Education, Mr. Ernest Kwadwo Afari.

According to Mr. Afari, his outfit was facing challenges in organizing the Mock Exams for the Candidates this year because of financial constraints and had to fall on the District Assembly for assistance but he was told the assembly is facing same challenge due to the recent Fulani herdsmen menace and that, a lot of resources have been spent on that.

He indicated he was therefore given a list of donors by the District Chief Executive, Hon. Francis Oti Boateng to seek sponsorship from which included Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang and Dr. Edward Asadu of which he quickly contacted them and they didn’t disappoint him.

In his appreciation message, he was emphatic this gesture was unprecedented and has never happened in the history of the District and pleaded Hon. Kwadwo Baah Agyemang and Dr. Edward Asadu continue to support education in the District.

Further checks from our source indicated the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Andy Appiah-Kubi recently withdrew GHC50000 from the coffers of the Education Directorate as his share of GetFund and an appeal to his office to support the District Mock Exams has proved futile.
