Apologies have been extended to customers in these impacted regions by the ECG. The company claims that a lack of power supply from Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) to the Pokuase and Smelter 2 Bulk Supply Points is the cause of the outages.
Customers, however, are not happy that the ECG has not provided a precise timeline for the restoration of power in these locations. Many people have been upset and furious with the power distributor, particularly when the Energy Minister asserted that there isn’t a continuous power outage, or “dumsor,” and that there isn’t a need for a schedule.
Stakeholders have also criticized GRIDCo and the ECG for their lack of explanation. Over a hundred communities and localities in the Accra East and West regions have experienced power disruptions in the last week alone.
In order to avoid more annoyances and annoyances among customers, Ghanaians are confident that the Electricity Company of Ghana will keep its word and offer a steady national grid supply in the upcoming weeks.
