Fan Milk Limited — Ghana, manufacturer and retailer of ice cream and frozen dairy products has announces new prices for its products. The new increment affected their Fanyogo and FanIce products.
The price for Fanyogo and FanIce which was formally sold at GH¢1.00 will sell GH¢1.20p, whiles the price for FanIce 250ML goes for GH¢5.00.
This comes a few hours after the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) announced tariffs increase.
The PURC has announced that, electricity tariffs will go up by 5.94 per cent from today, October 1, 2019.
Water tariffs will also increase by 2.22 per cent, with both adjustments covering October to December.
A statement signed by Mrs Mami Dufie Ofori, the Executive Secretary of the PURC, said the increases were in line with the Commission’s Automatic Adjustment Formula, which considered factors such as the Ghana-US dollar exchange rate, inflation, price of crude oil and natural gas and the generation mix (hydro and thermal).
Other factors were power purchase cost, demand forecast, electricity cost and fuel mix.
