Daasebre’s family claimed I killed him for rituals – Kennedy Agyepong

New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand Kennedy Ohene Agyepong has been explaining his reason for taking the unpopular decision against his employee with Kumasi-based Ashh Fm who faked his disappearance three weeks ago.

According to him, relations accused him of killing the embattled news reporter for ritual purposes to smoothen the NPP’s victory at the December 7 polls.

This was followed by attempts by the aggrieved family members to summon him before the occupant of the golden stool Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to answer the said charges.

An incensed Kennedy Agyepong said he was more worried than the family when news of the sudden disappearance of Daasebre Adjei Dwamena was reported indicating that he did everything in his capacity to ensure he could be found.

He said upon his return, the reasons he gave for his disappearance were untenable considering the emotional torture he subjected his family and colleagues at work to and therefore does not deserve to continue to work at Ashh Fm.

Meanwhile, a release issued by Kencity Media reveal that the embattled newscaster has been suspended indefinitely pending the outcome of investigations into his conduct.

KENCITY MEDIA LTD SUSPENDS DASEBRE ADJEI DWAMENA INDEFINITELY

The Management of Kencity Media Ltd has expressed disappointment about the unprofessional behaviour of one of its staff members, Dasebre Adjei Dwamena of Ashh FM-Kumasi, for absenting himself from duty without notice thereby creating unnecessary anxiety among Management, his family, colleagues, and the general public.

Management finds the explanation he gave for his disappearance to be untenable and unacceptable and has therefore decided to suspend him indefinitely pending the conclusion of the Police investigations.

Management takes this opportunity to thank the general public for the show of concern, in diverse ways during those moments.
