What is Ghana turning into ? Kidnapping , killings each and every day and plunging ordinary Ghanaians into living in an ecstasy of fear and panic.
We are all at risk whether you are a politician , chief , assemblyman or any public figure for that matter.
The government has failed to protect the nation big time, by not taking the safety of its citizens serious through detailing and making concerted efforts to provide adequate room for security at all level or manner.
Law and order in the country has completely been broken down since the inception of the NPP government in office.
It is important for the government to know that they are equally not above the law, therefore they must take responsibility for the breakdown of security happenings and crackdown on recalcitrants and unscrupulous persons who will be found culpable in the act of kidnapping or committing crime of any magnitude.
There civil society and moral groups in this country have suddenly lost their voices ;
The Christian council , the clergy and all the Think – Thank groupings who we’re very vibrant yesterday have suddenly become voiceless today.
The one time maverick and vociferous media / so – called senior journalists have also been divided into 2 wings ; thus, those who want to keep and work with the code of ethics as against those who want to keep their pockets full. For me it appears they have sold their birthrights to speak on national issues, and occurrences in the ruling government. The Parliament of Ghana’s enviable name has been reduced into tatters and disrepute by just one person who is also a member of the house yet nothing has been done about his ‘stinking’ questionable ethical conduct.
We are gradually loosing our pride as a country and the international community are keenly watching with eagle eyes since some power thirsty looking politicians seems to be dragging this country backwards. We have lost as Ghanaians to keep the country united but dividing it along political lines.
What must be noted is that we were Ghanaians before the inceptions of politics, with our moral values , culture , traditional beliefs and religious convictions.
Let us not destroy the only nation we have since we cannot change or adapt any other “Ghana” under the face of the earth.
We are called the beacon of peace and hope of mother Africa, and we ought to celebrate, and be proud with that.
Ghanaians must stand above party politics
Let’s not allow politics to divide as
Let’s not allow politicians to confused , divide, and rule us.
Imagine and check your family blood line and you will see or realise you are inter connected one way or the other with one or two tribes in Ghana.
The earlier we wake up, the better for our generations
Shalom !
