Access to quality healthcare has been one of the major challenges the residents of Asante Akyem Krofa have been facing for the past years.They had to travel out of the town in order to access healthcare.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) together with the chiefs and residents of Krofa have worked tirelessly to renovate an old structure in the community to serve as a community clinic where people from Krofa will get every healthcare assistance they need.
As a result of this, Mr Frimpong, a native of Asante Akyem Krofa and his wife Mrs. Gifty Frimpong, who currently reside in Canada have donated medical equipment such as hospital beds, stretcher, oxygen tank, drugs cart and others needed to make basic healthcare service easy to the Krofa Community Clinic. Mr. and Mrs. Frimpong, again have promise to offer assistance in diverse ways to support the community when the need arises.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Asante Akyem South, Hon. Alexander Frimpong together with the Municipal Health Director of the municipality, Mr. Reuben Osei expressed their utmost gratitude to the Frimpong family for considering the healthcare needs of their people a priority.
Hon. Frimpong finally advised the health professionals and the residents to have a maintainance culture for the facility and also use the equipment effectively to deliver good healthcare services to their patients.
Nana Danso Frimpong, Chief of Krofa, could not hide his joy and expressed appreciate for the kind gesture. He appeal to his people to always remember the Frimpong family in their prayers. “Let us offer assistance to the health personnel who will be working in the facility and maintain it well” he added.
Nana Danso Frimpong, together with his chiefs also offered a vast land at Krofa, which they intend to construct a poly clinic in the near future with the help of Mr. and Mrs. Frimpong and other benevolent people.
Again, he appealed to all natives of Krofa, especially those in the diaspora to emulate this kind gesture and join in the development of the community.
He conferred the Queen of Development “Nk)so)hemaa” title on Mrs. Gifty Frimpong for her major role played in the delivery of the medical equipment.
Mrs. Gifty Frimpong, in her speech, thanked the chief and his elders for the honor done her. She also acknowledged the assistance of her foreign partners for their support in acquiring these items.
Other dignitaries at the ceremony included Hon.Bismark Ampomah, Krofa Assembly man, Mr. Owusu, MCD- Asante Akyem Municipal Assembly, Nana Ofosuhene Apenteng of Obogu.
