CHRISTIANS WHO VOTE FOR ALHAJI BAWUMIA BETRAY THE EARLY MISSIONARIES TO GHANA

Any individuals who subscribe to Christianity and yet vote, campaign, or donate towards Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidency are acting as notorious hypocrites, traitors, or are simply ignorant.

Such a stance is a direct public exhibition of betrayal against the Trinity, Scriptures, the Gospel, the Apostles, Church Fathers, and early Christian missionaries who risked their lives to Christianize the ancestors of the then Gold Coast.

There were many motivational factors that compelled these missionaries to come to Ghana and spiritually cultivate, water, nurture, and harvest our land.

The key driving force behind the missionaries’ journey to Ghana was to counter the rapid growth and dominance of Islam in West Africa.

Yes, they arrived on our soil with the Bible, Christ, and primarily the Gospel. In their spiritual quest to Christianize our ancestors, they endured illnesses, injuries, harassment, persecution, and martyrdom at the hands of the environment, the natives, and Muslims in both the north and south of the then Gold Coast. King John III, who sent the missionaries, was clear about the purpose of the mission. He said, “When you arrive safely, establish schools, churches, healthcare systems, and philanthropic programs for them!” He continued, “Remember to interrupt Islam’s dominance by preaching the Gospel on the land!” This meant their mission was both spiritual and social. Fortunately, the missionaries were faithful to God and their leader.

The contemporary Church, Christians, and clergy are now confronted by the same arch-opponent (Islam) that is aggressively seeking to usurp power through national ballots, while the Christian community behaves like a teenager in love.

The very adversaries that our spiritual ancestors came to dethrone are now resurging, albeit in a different form.

If the early Presbyterian missionaries, Methodist missionaries, Catholic missionaries, James McKeown, Peter Annin, Francis Akwasi Amoako, and others were here today, would they be voting for a Muslim candidate like Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to rule this nation? Oh, wake up, sleeping Christian!

If you call yourself a Christian, clergy, or part of the church and still subscribe to, donate to, campaign for, or vote for Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, then you are an open traitor, disloyalist, and betrayer—just as Judas Iscariot, Ahithophel, Demas, and Diotrephes were in biblical times!

Our ancestors’ arch-opponent, who still considers us their arch-enemy, cannot be our trusted friend.

An Ishmaelite or Arabian horse is begging the Christian community for power, promising to serve their interests! Ha! How interesting!

An evangelist once wrote a letter to a North African country seeking permission to organize an open-air crusade. The response from the government read: “THERE ARE THREE (3) THINGS WE DON’T HAVE NOW AND WILL NOT WANT TO HAVE IN THE FUTURE IN OUR COUNTRY: ANYTHING AMERICAN, ANYTHING JEWISH, AND ANYTHING CHRISTIAN!” Case closed!

A word to the wise is enough.

Do not entrust your arch-enemy with power and expect them to protect you! That would be naivety!

Let those with ears hear what the Spirit says to the churches!
