A lot goes into composing a song to give it an appealing finish to be able to touch the hearts of listeners and as well provoke diverse thoughts in the minds of all and sundry.
But, eyebrows are raised when a big brand or a trademark is mentioned in a song.
In a telephone interview on Radio Xtasy with the ‘Showbiz Africa’ host-His Righteous Majesty, the ‘Meda a nna’ and ‘Chocho mu cho’ hitmaker-Bless cleared the air on a public debate as to whether he (Bless) was a brand Ambassador for Pepsi or perhaps the said brand was sponsoring his record label.
According to him (Bless), none of the above is correct; at least for now. He added that Pepsi® has always been his favorite cola beverage drink and so he did not have to think far to get it into the lyrics of his hit single ‘Chocho mu cho’, but added that he would not hesitate to use his talent and huge fan base to promote Pepsi® which is itself a popular brand.
‘When the rain falls the ocean gets its share, despite its large water content’; and so I think that if the time comes for a marriage between my label and Pepsi® it will work wonders for both parties’
Further inquiry by His Righteous Majesty about a probable new music video for the ‘Chocho mu cho’ hit so’ hit song if the said ‘marriage’ was to come received an affirmative response from Bless; ‘Exactly so’, Bless asserted.
