Barima Okatta Amoa II is the Chief of Yakoko in the Ayensuano District of Ghana’s Eastern Region. He is widely recognized for championing education, infrastructure, healthcare, and community development.

One of his most notable achievements is the establishment of the Barimah Okatta Amoa (BOA) Educational Foundation, which provides scholarships to brilliant but financially challenged students pursuing tertiary education. He has also donated school furniture to the Yakoko D/A School and has encouraged parents to prioritize their children’s education.

Beyond education, Barima Okatta Amoa II has invested in improving the community’s road network by supporting the reshaping of the road connecting Yakoko to the Accra–Kumasi highway, making transportation easier for farmers, traders, and residents.

In 2026, he welcomed the construction of a new CHPS compound in Yakoko, describing it as an important milestone that would improve healthcare delivery and create employment opportunities for local residents.

Today, Barima Okatta Amoa II is regarded as a development-oriented traditional leader whose vision continues to promote education, health, infrastructure, and unity in Yakoko while preserving the community’s rich cultural heritage.
